The BAT (Belgian Anesthesia Trainees) is an independent organisation set up a few years ago to represent the interests of Belgian anesthesia trainees in different institutions on different levels. Its primary aim is to unify and improve training on a national level. In this regard, we strive to give each trainee access to simulation training, loco-regional anesthesia training and certified ALS courses. 

We are dedicated to unite all anesthesia trainees across Belgium, fostering a collaborative and inclusive community that transcends individual programs and institutions. By bringing together trainees from diverse backgrounds and regions, we aim to create a strong network that supports professional development, knowledge sharing, and peer support. Through conferences and social events, we provide a platform for trainees to connect, learn, and grow together.

It was a joy to balance the intellectual stimulation of Saturday's congress with a dash of physical activity on Sunday, as we laced up our shoes and ran the 10 miles in Antwerp alongside fellow colleagues 🏃‍♂️🏅

Last Saturday was the second edition of our BAT national congress. A heartfelt thank you to all the speakers, the people who were willing to give workshops, and ofcourse the participants. You made it a resounding success! Your energy, insights, and dedication made this event unforgettable.  🙏
